“We have noticed that most companies are not forthcoming to assist this industry as they are sustaining what they already have. It is important to support arts because every industry is connected to arts,” she said.

In his remarks, Vilipanganga Poetry director Paul Sezzie said for the past five years, the group used to hire a PA system.

He said: “We are grateful and excited about the future with this donation because our work is going to be much easier because we have a PA system that we can use at any point.

“This donation is the beginning of the long-term partnership with General Alliance because we will be doing a lot of things to promote their products.”
