FMB 11-A-side-hockey league teams Genetrix Hockey (men’s team) and Braves Ladies enhanced their chances of progressing in the league, after securing important victories last weekend at Country Club Limbe (CCL).
The two teams laboured to slender victories.
Genetrix managed to demolish Changalume Barracks 7-0 while Braves Ladies had a walkover against Falcons Ladies because they did not show up on the pitch.
Genetrix men’s team and Braves Ladies both have moved up to the top of the league with 16 points
Wanthaza Mughogho, a member of the Hockey Association of Malawi (HAM), said he is impressed with the progress of the sport among Malawian youths.
