Ghana’s coach Kwesi Appiah has named 19 foreign-based players for the September 8 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying round first leg against the Flames to be staged in Accra.

The 24-member squad also includes France-based midfielder Andre ‘Dede’ Ayew and Asamoah Gyan who recently returned to the Black Stars after retiring in frustration.

However, Flames coach Kinnah Phiri and stand-in captain Moses ‘Luba’ Chavula have said they are not moved by the Black Stars star-studded squad.

Said Kinnah: “Even if they had Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad, we would not have been worried. We are focusing on our own preparations.”

Chavula said names will not strike fear in them.

“What is important is to concentrate on our game plan and have self-determination,” said Chavula.

Meanwhile, Italy-based midfielder Isaac Coffie has been handed his debut call-up to the Black Stars.

The Ghana coach has named five home-based players including the Berekum Chelsea duo of Ernest Sowah and Emmanuel Clottey.

Several players including Ayew and Emmanuel Agyemang- Badu, who missed this month’s friendly against China, return to the squad.
