Organisers of the Glamorous Ladies National Conference 2015 have said preparations for the two-city Glamorous Ladies Annual Conference are at an advanced stage.

The first conference is slated for Lilongwe on November 21 2015, with a follow-up one taking place in Blantyre at a date yet to be decided.

The organising co-chairperson, Christine Mukoka, disclosed in an emailed interview on Wednesday that speakers at both venues shall include president of the Redeemed For a Purpose (RFP) ministries, Pastor Aubrey Mwasinga, and Glamorous Ladies Ministry Overseer Pastor Emma Mwasinga.

Mukoka said they have decided to start with Lilongwe because it is Malawi’s Capital City and that they would like to position Malawi’s women as key players in national development.

On the other hand, Blantyre is being targeted because that is where RFP is headquartered.

“As Glamorous Ladies (GL), one of our mandates is to promote women’s participation and influence in the kingdom of God and establish Glamorous Ladies networks across Malawi and beyond so as to enhance the relationships between among women beyond the walls of the church,” she explained.

She said the theme for this year’s conference is Daughters of the Word and the Spirit; Impacting and Influencing your world.

Mukoka hinted that women resident in Lilongwe are anxiously anticipating the long awaited conference, which will take place in the Upper Hall of Bwaila Secondary School.

Glamorous Ladies Ministry was established in 2007 and is an arm of RFP interdenominational ministry. n
