A window of opportunity has opened for Flames and Nyasa Big Bullets left-back Precious Sambani who is expected to undergo trials at Dstv Premiership outfit Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Nyasa Big Bullets yesterday announced that the left-back will depart for SouthAfrica tomorrow to undergo a two–week trial.

“Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club is pleased to announce the departure for South Africa on Tuesday, January 26 2021, of Precious Sambani, who has been invited to undergo trials for two weeks at Lamontville Golden Arrows Football Club.

To undergo two-week trials at Golden Arrows in South Africa: Sambani

“The left-back, 22, is expected to return home on February 8 2021 after the trials with the Durban-based Premier Soccer League side. Nyasa Big Bullets is wishing Precious all the success during the trials,” reads a statement posted on the club’s website www.nyasabigbullets.com yesterday.

Golden Arrows, also known as Abafana Bes’thende, who are fifth on the table, play their home matches at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Durban.

If successful, Sambani will follow in the footsteps of former Flames captain Limbikani Mzava, who also played for Golden Arrows between 2016 and 2019 before joining Highlands Park and eventually, his current club AmaZulu.

Meanwhile, Bullets midfielder Peter Banda is also attending trials in Europe at Moldova top flight league outfit FC Sherriff Tiraspol who also has former Bullets defender Charles Petro.

“As a club we are delighted that our players continue to attract clubs in Africa and Europe,” Bullets chief administration officer Albert Chigoga said.

Ironically, both Banda and Sambani underwent trials at Belgian top-flight league champions Club Brugge in 2019 but did not clinch deals.
