Gospel artists in the country will converge at Civo Stadium during Easter for a grand music festival.

The two-day festival—to run from Saturday to Sunday— has been organised by Superior Events Management and is expected to attract single artists, choral groups and bands.

To perform during the festival: Great Angels Choir

In an interview, Superior Events Management executive director Japhet Majekete said the festival will be the first of its kind in the country.

He said there will be a single ticket for the two days.

“We will bring together gospel artists from the North, Centre and South. Gates will open on Saturday morning until Sunday night and we intend to make it an annual event,” said Majekete.

He added: “Our target audience includes gospel music lovers, all who believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the corporate world.”

Great Angels Choir director William Zonda applauded the organiser for bringing together all gospel artists in the country, describing it as a welcome development in the local gospel music industry.

“This [the festival] is quite a commendable initiative. Apart from sharing the stage, we believe that, as gospel artists, we are going to share experiences and forge fresh relations,” said Zonda. n
