In an interview with The Nation, Frank Jomo, St. James CCAP Church Fundraising chairperson, said the budget for the project is pegged at K400 million.

“The Under-Five Clinic will benefit the people of Zingwangwa, Chilobwe, Green Corner, Manase, Somba and other surrounding areas. It will benefit a cross section of people regardless of their faith,” he said.

Jomo said once completed the project will not only transform the face of Zingwangwa but also help children under the age of five have access to good medical care.

“As a church we conduct different fundraising activities in order to raise funds for the project. Proceeds of the concert will support the project,” he said.

He said the concert has been pegged at K1 000 per head.

“We ask all Malawians of goodwill to come and patronise the show in order to help the church realise its dream of having a medical facility that will provide ultra modern medical services to the less privileged of the society,” said Jomo.
