The Malawi Government has committed to paying the cost of medicines for journalist Limbani Moya who has undergone a successful kidney transplant at an Indian hospital.
Speaking after visiting Moya at a guest house where he is recuperating on Wednesday, Malawi High Commissioner to India Perks Ligoya said government will meet the costs for three months.
“We have talked to the Ministry of Health and it has been approved that government meets the costs of the medicines for three months,” Moya quoted Ligoya as having said.
Moya thanked government for the gesture. He also thanked all Malawians of goodwill who contributed towards his medical trip. In the picture, Ligoya (C) accompanied by his wife (R) pose with Moya at Tribovan Palace Hotel in New Dehli.
