Great Angels momentum flows with fourth album

The Great Angels Choir has released a fourth volume album titled Mwasankha Ine that has registered 2 500 CD sales in its first week of release.

“It’s a hot cake! We released the album during a Mother’s Day show at Sheaffer Marquee in Lilongwe. But as I am talking today, we have managed to sell 2 500 copies,” said the group’s music director Ephraim Zonda.

Msalole Mulungu and Samadziwa Kanthu are the two hits that are enjoying massive airplay.

Zonda said the album is available in Blantyre, Zomba, Lilongwe, Mzuzu and he believes that before its launch in January, the album will have reached all the districts in Malawi.

“In Blantyre, the album is available at Spectrum Communications, Defao, Arthur Music Centre, Limbe Market and Blantyre Market. In Lilongwe, it is at Dolphin Music Centre, Ali, Uncle Salimu and Lilongwe Market while in Mzuzu you will get them at Mzuzu Market,” said Zonda.

He said the launch of the album will be in all cities, but will start with Lilongwe on New Year’s Day with Blantyre to follow.

Last year, the Great Angels Choir also released Ndiyende Bwanji.

They have also attracted a lot of fans across Malawi when performing on stage.
