Gospel musician Gwamba has dangled K100 000 (about $143) for an online singing competition of his new music.
According to his post on Facebook, Gwamba is calling for 30-second clips from fans singing a favourite part of one of his singles—Better or Hallelujah—and stand a chance of winning K100 000.
Reads the post: “Using a mobile phone, send a 30 second[s] clip of yourself singing your favourite part in Better or Allelujah. No beat, no background vocals, just your voice. Send the video clip to +265997232251 on WhatsApp. Simply write your name and where you stay then send the video.
“I will be posting the video clips on my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profiles. The video that gets more likes on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram combined will be declared the winner on May 15. The winner will get K100 000 cash. The game starts now until May 14. Have fun and enjoy!”
Gwamba said the competition is aimed at promoting his new music and interaction with his fans.
“This is one way of getting down to my fans. As an artist I have an obligation to stay in touch with my fans through innovative means. And the singing competition is one of them,” he said.
Gwamba turned gospel last year after he joined Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG).n
