In an interview, Gwamba said he decided to hold the show after reflecting on how Covid-19 has changed his relationship with his fans.

Gwamba: Covid-19 has had a huge effect

“I understand that as artists we have lost business because we cannot hold shows through which we earn a living, but it is still crucial to reconnect and comfort our fans during this trying period,” he said.

The artist said apart from earning a living through live performances, artists get comfort and encouragement when fans listen to their music.

“I want to comfort and encourage my fans for failing to interact with me through my shows because of Covid-19,” he said.

The artist said the event will be streamed live on his Facebook page and on Zodiak Television from 20.30 to 21.45.

He will supported by other artists whose identities have been kept under wraps for now.

Dubbed Sorry For Covid-19, the event is being funded by Major One Records.
