“Since the Association of Young People Living with HIV was formed two years ago, nothing tangible has happened. This conference will, therefore, formulate an action plan that will be used to mobilise resources to advocate for their cause,” said Banda.

Association of Young People Living with HIV president Faith Kalonga appealed for government intervention to ensure that sexual and reproductive health are integrated with HIV services.

National Youth Council director Aubrey Chibwana, who was the guest of honour at the seminar, promised government support to solve the challenges that young people living with HIV are facing.

ActionAid Malawi and Cowlha, funded the seminar. n
