Husband to his wife
Having said a lot on the roles of a woman there is yet this scripture to be considered and digested by male folk; 1 Peter 3:7 which reads as follows; “Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers”.
Husbands should be considerate as they live with their wives, suggesting that nothing should be done by the husband without taking into consideration his wife’s welfare and of course prioritising her and always doing good and pleasing her.The wife should be treated with respect as the weaker partner. She should not be harassed, degraded or molested by her man. Instead, accord her all the respect through actions and speech. A woman is a powerful weapon of God when she gets to be focused and well learned about the matters she gets to come to grips with.
When involved with spiritual matters, she would achieve a greater part once taught the right things to do. In a woman there is strong determination to achieve and will stop at nothing to attain her goals. The woman is built with a strong spirit of perseverance, tolerance and patience, making her an achiever and not a failure.
Men, do not at any time think of fighting with a woman or wife because she has already been classified by God as someone who is weak physically. Do not cause bodily pains or injury to someone you have become one flesh with: Genesis 1:24; “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh”.
Women are heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, this means that women experience the saving grace of God on equal terms with men. Galatians 3:28 says; “there is no Jew or Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” The last part of the scripture is talking about having nothing as a hindrance of the man’s prayers. For prayers to be effective there must be a relationship between man and God, and for this relationship to be established man has a role to play; that is, to be obedient to God’s commands. Spiritual relationship with God and with one another may be hindered by disregarding God’s instructions concerning husband- wife relationship.
