If I were: Goodall Gondwe

Minister of Economic Planning and Development, I would realise that it was my boss President Joyce Banda who hinted that the economy would recover in 18 months.

If I were ‘Double G’, I would, therefore, appreciate that if anything, the person who needs to understand that it is a classic exaggeration to expect the economy to recover this year is actually the President because she is the one who made those claims.

Perhaps, if I were the Economic Planning Minister, I would find a diplomatic way to tell Amayi that her declaration was unrealistic and way beyond expectations.

I would tell her the ERP will not be implemented within 18 months beginning April this year as she had portrayed when she hosted dinner for the Global Leaders Council (GLC).

That is if I were my good man Goodall. Unfortunately, I am not him!!
