Christians across the world on March 24 celebrated Palm Sunday, following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ who on that day triumphantly entered into Jerusalem, a week before His death and resurrection.
The Bible says when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him by waving palm branches and covering his path. The faithful at Limbe CCAP, led by the Reverend Andrew Kamponda, celebrated in style with a young man riding a donkey like Jesus Christ did.
The march started from Limbe CCAP through Yiannakis and Limbe central business district to Limbe Market and back to the church, a distance of five kilometres. During stopover points, the Reverend Kamponda preached to the congregation.—AUBREY MCHULU, Staff Writer
