Inter-Club 20-overs Cricket Tournament’s list of quarter-finalists is now complete following results of matches played on Sunday at Mpingwe Sports Club (MSC) and Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) in Blantyre.

Anchor Industry Silver secured the slot after earning a 150-117run triumph over OG Plastic Blue, who had already made it into the last eight before the match.

In this match played at the MSC in the morning, Suheil Rustam proved to be the guiding stick for Silver as he made an individual score of 68 runs followed by his brother Aasif’s 33 runs. Blue’s Muddassir Patel emerged as the best bowler but his efforts could not have a significant impact on Silver’s dominance.

In the afternoon, Purple trounced MSC Green by 67 runs. They made 205 runs against Green’s 138-all-out. Talha, Sehbaz and Ayub Patel did the damage for Purple; making 68, 62 and 20 runs, respectively.

At the OCC in the morning, Grey trounced OCC in just 17-overs after making 117 runs. In the afternoon, Gold Fattani outclassed MSC Black by 17 runs. They made 184 runs against Black’s 167. Grey had to thank individual brilliance of Riyaz Sayed, who contributed 80 runs. He was well supported by Zeesan (37 runs), Haseeb (33) and Atif (29).
