IRA feeds 10 schools
The Islamic Relief Agency (IRA) says it is committed to complementing government’s efforts in combating malnutrition in the country.
IRA projects manager Sheikh Cassim Idrissah told Nation on Sunday during the week that his organisation has since partnered government in implementing school feeding programme in Blantyre.
“Currently, we are feeding 2 000 children in 10 schools in Blantyre. We have been running feeding programmes for 10 years now,” said Idrissah.
He commended parents and teachers for supporting the agency.
Idrissah said the support the agency is receiving has inspired it to consider extending its programmes to ensure that many children benefit from its services.
