Zomba-based reggae artist Jah-Seal Flames has released a 14-track CD titled Chapter One.

The artist, whose real name is Ben Ng’oma, said in an interview that the message in most of his songs dwell on poverty.

“Living in poverty often times leads one to commit a crime, and I am calling on people, especially the youth, to work hard to earn a living. God wants his children to fend for themselves and He assists. Committing a crime is a sin against Him and it is important to stay away from it,” he advised.

Some of the tracks in the CD include Burn Them, Umphawi and Ndidziwe. Moses and Zita of MIC and Ngudeyi Studios in Zomba were the brains behind the production of the album.

The artist said currently there are 50 CDs on the market and he hopes to produce 500 copies for distribution to music agents for sale.

He added that shooting of a music video for one of the tracks in the album called Adula Nsinga has been finalised. The music video will be out later this month.
