Janta expands studio

In a bid to accommodate and support more up-and-coming artists, award winning Afro pop superstar Janta has invested 50 percent of his recently released Collaborations album sales to expand his SU Records Studios.

In a statement the artist released, he said the studio expansion project has been designed to meet the growing demand for sessions.

Janta: I want to lead by example

“I am established. I want to lead by example by showing others how to succeed in this industry. I am a living example of how a successful artist flourishes in Malawi,” said Janta in the statement.

He attributed his success to being humble and associating with different artists in the music industry.

“I would encourage young artists to be humble. We need new ideas to move forward. The more we are connected, the better,” added Janta.

Janta is currently on a promotion tour of his Collaborations album in which he has featured both local and international artists. Locally, he has featured artists such as Lucius Banda, Lulu, Third Eye and Macelba. It is being sold at K2 000.

“The album sales have so far been great. However, those who still wish to show support can buy at any price. Make your mobile purchases and confirm through WhatsApp,” he said in an interview.
