“Apart from the grant towards the expansion of Tedzani Hydro Electric Power Station which will facilitate addition of 21.8 megawatts, my government is embarking on another project of expanding terminal building at KIA and install new equipment such as aircraft surveillance system,” he said.

The Ambassador reaffirmed his government’s commitment to providing infrastructure and technical support to Malawi.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation George Chaponda thanked the Japanese government for the continued assistance.

Emperor Akihito’s birthday falls on December 23. However, the celebrations were held earlier in view of the busy festive season ahead. n
