Revered Nigerian football legend Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha has said Be Forward Wanderers will benefit a lot from his two players that have joined the Nomads on loan.

The two players—winger Adekola Ayinla and striker Ebuka Fabian Ozochukwu—who arrived in the country yesterday from Lagos, have been loaned to Wanderers for the rest of the season.

“I know my boys are top quality and they will add great value to Wanderers.

“Apart from their natural talent, they bring to Malawi a touch of experience. I cannot recommend players that are not up to scratch and I have deliberately offered them to Wanderers on a loan deal for free because I know very soon they will be talking about signing them outright. The taste of the eating is in the pudding,” said Okocha in an interview from Lagos.

He added: “It’s not all about money brother, let them sample the players and then we see what comes up.”

According to the two players’ profiles, Ozochukwu, 22, last club was Stationery Stores in Nigerian National League last season and he made 11 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists.

He has also played for other top league sides—Dolphins, Lobi Stars and Kano Pillars—but has not played at national team level.

Adekola, 20, played four games for the Nigerian Under-17 team between 2011 and 2012, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

He has also played for Shooting Stars, Rivers United, Kano Pillars and Kwara United in the Premier League.

The duo join compatriot Amos Bello who signed for the Nomads at the start of the season.

Wanderers general secretary Mike Butao said they had signed the two players on loan until the end of the season with an option to offer them an outright deal. n
