Mhango Joyce may7 | The Nation OnlineThis time she is not on Nollywood giving out awards to filmmakers and their cast, but celebrated actress Joyce Mhango Chavula of Rising Choreos Theatre Company has all the reasons to smile wider and wilder after getting accolades courtesy of Light of Youth Creative Organisation (LYCO) with endorsement from Capital Hill.

Joyce has been decorated as an ambassador for youth in arts in addition to being pronounced as the best actress.

According to LYCO’s Director James Kitchen, the organisation awards outstanding people every year via the national schools drama festival.

“The recognition of people like Joyce came from us but with an endorsement from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture,” said Kitchen.

The youth arts ambassador is a just hatched portfolio as regards the crowns’ history.

Joyce did not hide her excitement upon reception of the news.

“This is a great achievement and I am humbled to be entrusted with such a huge task. I know it is a great responsibility but it is already in line with my youth programme which I am going to launch soon.

“I love working with the youth, I love to expose new talents and so this has just given me more strength,” said the actress.
