Minister of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare Patricia Kaliati has trashed allegations that went viral on social media that she collapsed in Karonga after being administered with Covid-19 vaccine in Zomba when President Lazarus Chakwera launched the vaccine last Thursday.

In her remarks after getting her jab at  Zomba District Health Office today, Kaliati said the photograph that was seen on social media was shot some time ago depicting a form of respect that people portray to elders when seeking or getting assistance from others.
“Let people get vaccinated especially women because the current statistics show that there are more men than women taking the vaccine,” she said.
