Kansiime arrives today

Ugandan queen of comedy Annie Kansiime arrives today in Lilongwe ahead of her second show.

Kansiime comes face to face on with local comedians at a gig at the Bingu International Conference Centre (Bicc), two years after her debut appearance there in 2014.

From Uganda, the award-winning thespian comes with Cotilda Inapo, a member of her management team who doubles as a comedian, according to organisers, Qoncept Creative.

“Local acts include a dance troupe called Salama Africa from Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa, who were the runners up in the 2015 Kajive competition. From the comedy side, Che Nkope and Nancy will represent Malawi,” said Norah Chavula of Qoncept Creative.

Nancy is an enigmatic comic voice plays the role of supposed or Che Nkope’s girlfriend.

The two are popular radio cartoons and it remains to be seen how Nicholas Mbonela will pun-out his magic to the audience on Saturday night.
