“Initially, Kansiime was supposed to hold shows in Blantyre and Lilongwe on May 17 and 18 respectively. However, the Blantyre show has been cancelled due to lack of venue as all the places we were looking for are fully booked. This means that Kansiime will only perform in Lilongwe and on May 17,” said Qoncept Creative’s creative manager Q Malewezi.

So far, other artists making up for the night have also been announced by the organisers.

“The event will celebrate humour in comedy and other art forms. We are exploring dance, music, poetry and theatrical skits. Music will be provided by Scot Grey, dance by George Zimalirana while Maclean Mbepula and Kennedy Kalua will entertain with poetry. Diana Satha will also be there with others to be confirmed,” explained Q.

So far, sponsors for the event include Kenya Airways, Ulendo Travel Group and Countrywide Car Hire.
