Battle-hardened striker Esau Kanyenda has said he is uncertain as to whether he will be offered a deal at top Angolan side Kabuscorp.

Kanyenda is in the second week of his trials at the Angolan club that is camping in South Africa in preparation for the new season.

He said Monday that Kabuscorp have said they need more time to assess him.

“I am still on trials. They [Kabuscorp] are saying they need more time to assess me. But my concern is that time is running out as their league is set to start on March 3. So, I will have to decide on the way forward if I do not hear from them by Thursday [tomorrow],” said Kanyenda.

Kanyenda is currently a free agent having agreed to a mutual termination of his contract with Russian First Division side Dynamo Bryansky recently after falling out with the head coach.

Flames coach Kinnah Phiri left him out of the Flames squad for the Chad game to concentrate on his trials.

The ambitious Angolan club recently signed former world footballer of the year and Brazilian legend Rivaldo after being released by Sao Paulo last December.
