Kabwafu registered a 3-2 victory over Mchengautuwa at Kabwafu last Sunday.

The champions will receive K500 000 (about $742) while the runners-up will get K250 000 (about $370).

Karonga United team manager Bellings Desire Kibombwe said they are taking the final against Kabwafu seriously.

“We are prepared for the finals. We know that it will be a tough game. However, as 2015 Simama Premier League runners-up we expect less than grabbing the championship,” he said.

Kabwafu finished third in the 2015 Simama Premier League.

When contacted for comment on their final game against Karonga United, Kabwafu team manager Helmans Kaira said they are ready to silence Karonga.

“We have good players and come Saturday, Karonga will be taught how to play football. We are doing everything possible to win this cup,” he said.

NRFA chairperson Lameck Khonje has since described the progress of the league as superb. Seven Premier League teams registered for the competition this year. n
