Kasenda (No. 10) share the top spot with Chiyembekeza

Skippers Senior FC striker Linda Kasenda is sharing the top spot with Fazira Chiyembekeza in the K1 million Peter Mutharika Central Region Women Football League Golden Boot race.

Both players have scored six goals each from their opening games.

Kasenda, who also plays in the national team, scored the goals when she inspired Skippers to a 15-0 victory against Children of the Nation on Sunday.

Chiyembekeza netted in their 10-0 triumph against Factured FC.

On second position is Ratipher Malunjika also of Skippers, with five goals.

Zein Joseph of Skippers together with Memory Zachariah of Kamuzu Barracks are on third position with two goals each.

KB top the table with six points from two games followed by Chisomo Ideal Academy who also have six points, but are disadvantaged by a two-goal difference.

Skippers are on third position with three points followed by their junior side Skippers Youth who have a single point together with Chilinde Super Queens.

Factured FC and Children of the Nation are yet to register a point.
