Muscco board chairperson Henry Chowawa said on Saturday that as Muscco commemorates International Credit Union Day in October every year, they thought of doing something that would make a difference by building toilets at the guardian shelter and providing benches to KCH.

Chowawa said: “The reason we chose to assist Kamuzu Central Hospital is because it is the main referral hospital in the Central Region.

KCH director Jonathan Ngoma said the donation will go a long way in easing some of the problems at KCH.

International Credit Union(ICU) Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. The day recognises the credit union movement’s history and reflects on its achievements.
