Khama Khwiliro goes reggae with Alinawo Maso

Gospel musician Khama Khwiliro has today released the reggae version of his song Alinawo Maso originally released six years ago in his second album titled Ndaona.

In an interview, the artist said he decided to record the reggae version following requests from his fans.

Khwiliro: Alinawo Maso is a song of hope

“I opted to do a reggae version due to public demand. It seems fans wanted more of this song in different versions and I had to listen to my fans before I release my third album soon,” he said.

Khwiliro said Alinawo Maso was a bonus track in his last album, but became the biggest hit of the album due to its message of hope.

Alinawo Maso is a song of hope, encouraging those stressed with life to keep looking up to God because he sees all our troubles and shall surely meet us at our point in need,” he said.

In reaction to the song, Ulemu Chitenje wrote on Facebook: “Wonderful. We see things differently.”

The reggae version has been produced by Don Foxy Records in Chirimba and the video has been shot by Shonga Films.

Khwiliro is set to release his third album which has 19 songs this year.
