Kondi wants Chilunga to comment on Sulumba deal

Nyasa Big Bullets former chairperson Kondi Msungama has asked his successor Samuel Chilunga to come out in the open and explain what he knows about striker Muhammad Sulumba’s failed deal at South African club Polokwane City.

The lanky forward’s deal fell through after the controversy surrounding the issue of his transfer fee. This was after Polokwane claimed that they made a R70 000 (about K3.5 million) part payment which Bullets officials claim was not declared to the club.

Said Msungama: “At the time Sulumba travelled to South Africa for the deal, the chairperson was Chilunga and he signed the transfer agreement on behalf of Bullets.

“So, the right person to explain to the Bullets family on what exactly happened is Chilunga himself. Let him come out in the open and say what he knows. Bullets has millions of followers who are eager to know what exactly happened.”

Chilunga could not be reached for his comment yesterday

However, Bullets finance committee chairperson Fleetwood Haiya said a former top official confessed having received the money and made a commitment to refund in instalments. But the club has kept a tight lid on his identity.n
