Carlsberg Malawi has gone a step further in aligning its brands with the rise of local music, marrying Kuche Kuche with the Entertainers Promotion night-long show slated for Motel Paradise in Blantyre on Friday.

Carlsberg brands manager Twikale Chirwa said the rebranding spree starts at the pungwee concert, starring Soldier Lucius Banda, Black Missionaries and Fikisa.

“Kuche Kuche is the only Carlsberg brew produced in Malawi. We thought it wise to use it to promote local music. We have taken advantage of the big pungwee that is bringing together the country’s finest local artists to relaunch the brand,” said Chirwa.

Entertainers Promotion president Jai Banda said Malawians should expect the best from the hitmakers.

“I have told the artists that the show is in their hands. If they impress, they will earn themselves a lasting relationship with Carlsberg. So, I know they will bring out their guns,” said Banda.

The dusk-to-dawn jam will also feature  Joseph Nkasa, Soul Chembezi and Super Boys.
