Grey and Orange made it into the last-eight stage along with OCC, Anchor Industry Silver, MSC White, Fattani Gold, MSC Purple and OG Plastic Blue over a week ago, but they did not let complacency take its toll on their mission to wind up their fixtures with four straight triumphs.

At Mpingwe Sports Club (MSC), Grey did not show a single tooth to Black; whacking them into tiny pieces by 41 runs.

“We are not leaving anything to chance. We are even looking forward to winning all our next encounters up to the final,” said coach for Grey LlyasBhiku.

Orange were also in excellent form as they bowled out OCC in 120 runs. Their captain Khalil Badat led by example, making 44 of the runs as Altaf Pamoli claimed five wickets.

According to organisng chairperson of the tournament Saeed Limdawala, the fixtures for this weekend’s quarterf-inals will be done on Wednesday.
