The Central Region Volleyball League (CRVL) will hold a two-week Kumudzi Invitation Volleyball tournament starting from Saturday at Lilongwe Community Centre Court.

Tournament is sponsored by Kumudzi Eco-Learning Centre owned by Dr David Mkwambisi to the tune of K100 000 ($3 333), according to CRVL chairperson Robert White.

The finals will be played at Kumudzi Eco-Learning Centre along Bunda College Road on November 10.

“The tournament will be completed by men and youth teams. Ladies will have their tournament nt year. We are promoting volleyball in the Central Region by exposing raw talent and helping people in the area to get interested in the sport,” said White.

CRVL has cancelled all the league fixtures for teams to participate in the tournament.

Teams willing to participate should contact publicity secretary, Emmanuel Chipungu, on +265-999-406-808 or +265-88174-6534.

Blue Eagles won the inaugural tournament last year after beating Lilongwe Spikers.
