The matches will be broadcast through Ufulu Television channel 114 on free-to-air Kiliye Kiliye decoder.

Kwesé TV country manager Wonder Msiska said they have secured exclusive broadcasting rights for the Cosafa event .

“Football fans will watch this tournament live on KFS or Ufulu TV at absolutely no cost. It had pleased us to let Malawians witness the performance of the junior national team for free,” he said.

Msiska said for people on the move, the matches will also be available via the KFS channel on the Kwesé TV application, which can be downloaded from any Android or iOs device and fans will be able to support the Junior Flames on the go.

The Junior Flames, who won bronze at last year’s Cosafa event after a 2-1 triumph over South Africa in third place playoffs, are in Group C along with Angola, Swaziland and Zimbabwe and will start their campaign this Friday with a clash against Angola from 8 am.

The team’s coach DeKlerk Msakakuona, who travelled to Mauritius on Saturday, with a 20-member squad, yesterday said they are ready to repeat their 2001 achievement that saw them winning the competition following a comprehensive 3-0 triumph over hosts South Africa.

The tournament will kick off tomorrow with a Group A encounter between Namibia and Seychelles in the opening match at 8 am. The group also has hosts Mauritius and Botswana.

The semifinals are expected on 27 July with Group A winners taking on Group C winners while Group B winners will be up against the best losers. The final will be played on July 29 and the champions will qualify for the 2019 African Under 17 Cup of Nations, which will be held in Tanzania.
