“Kwesé TV is the exclusive broadcast partner for the Cosafa Women’s Championship tournament and African fans can watch this tournament live.

“For people on the move, the matches will also be available on the Kwesé TV application via the Kwesé Free Sports (KFS) channel. Simply download the Kwesé TV application from any Android or iOS device and fans will be able to support the female Flames on the go,” she said.

Malawi is in Group A alongside hosts South Africa, Botswana and Madagascar.

The tournament kicks off today with Malawi taking on Botswana in the opening match.

Malawi will then take on Madagascar on Friday and South Africa on September 17.

Zambia, Mozambique, Cameroon and Lesotho are in Group B while Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland and Uganda are in Group C.

During the Cosafa championship last year, Tabitha Chawinga and sister Temwa were the country’s best scorers, having notched eight and four goals, respectively.

Tabitha also finished as second leading scorer of the tournament as she was just two goals behind eventual Golden Boot Award winner Rutendo Makore of Zimbabwe.

Malawi was knocked out in group stages.
