Lab Enterprise Matchplay semis in full swing

The contests for final berths in the Lab Enterprise Matchplay Golf have reached an exciting stage and the entertainment is set to continue today.

According to one of the organisers of the tournament Dingaan Chirwa, the semi-finals are set to go on until December 2 while the grand finale is set for December 9.

“The tournament is getting more and more exciting as we progress towards the grand finale,” said Chirwa.

Pairs of Gabriel Kambale and Harold Jiya, Stevie Chanje and David Nyirenda, Donbell Mandala and Edwin Chipala, and Stella and Zacharia Hara qualified for the semi-finals.

Lab Enterprise managing director Noel Lipipa said they are very impressed with the level of competition.

“It has been very exciting right from the word go and we are optimistic that the excitement will go on right to the end,” said Lipipa.

He said they sponsor golf as one way of giving back to the community.

“We also want to complement government’s efforts to develop sports in the country,” said Lipipa.
