Women from all walks of life had a fulfilling escape when Sunbird Capital treated them to a ladies night on Friday.
After a week of grinding and toiling the ladies had a session to bond, network and share ideas and experiences over a three-course meal and drinks.
In the days where looking good is almost a must, patrons also had a make-up tutorial by Goddess of Beauty as well as a fashion show by Deedez Delights and Designs.
To spice up the event, there was karaoke and drinking competitions as well as games which saw winners walking away with assorted prizes, including gym and meal vouchers.
A raffle draw winner got the biggest prize, a one-night accommodation for two at any Sunbird hotel of her choice.
Companies also took advantage of the ladies night to promote their products to those who turned up for the interactive session.
The hotel chain’s sales and marketing manager, Titania Katenga Kaunda, said holding such events was achieving the intended purpose, adding people should watch out for more.
She said: “We believe in interaction between us and customers, potential clients and among themselves. Therefore, we create that platform for the benefit of all those engaged.
“For ladies night, we appreciate that ladies are busy people both at office and home as mothers. So, why not give them a forum for them to unwind, forget about the daily hustles of life?”
She said the organisers were happy that apart from having fun, the ladies learned a thing or two from presentations made.
One of the patrons, Grace Phiri said the patrons learnt a lot through interactions and networking.
