The show is set to draw crowds from the school’s student body, as well as the public around the community. Fame has been working on improving the local fashion industry since 2010.

It has been created to provide a platform where designers could make their fashion dreams come true and making them believe in the future of Malawian fashion.

Fame at Don Bosco has been funded by UNAids’s Protect the Goal Campaign, an initiative that began by using football to spread the messages of HIV and Aids prevention, but covered other areas like fashion to obtain their goals.

Fashion labels and designers set to showcase are Arnold Gamah, Issabel King, Lauretta of Vivetta label, Tawile Kumsinde of Fourteen Fifteen label and Theophilus Fashions.

“Fashion is usually an exclusive event, but Fame wants to give back to the community by providing a show that will bring fashion to the community. With our partners, Protect the Goal, we shall ensure that it is a day filled with talent, fun and education,” said Samantha Nampuntha, project manager of Fame 2015.n
