As the TNM Super League enters week six, leaders Be Forward Wanderers and defending champions Big Bullets get a real test of their pedigree in their quest to maintain unbeaten runs when they face Kamuzu Barracks (KB) and Mafco respectively this afternoon.
The Nomads, who are at the summit of the table with 13 points from five games, will be away in Dedza, while the People’s Team hosts the wounded soldiers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Wanderers team manager Stevie Madeira said they are relishing the opportunity of maintaining the grip at the top of the table.

“We have very tough games this weekend. Nevertheless, apart from maintaining our unbeaten run, we also want to remain at the top and, therefore, our wish is to win both games,” said Madeira.
The Nomads will be without two key players—defender Francis Mlimbika and their hitman Muhammad Sulumba who are with the Flames in South Africa for the Cosafa tournament—but such is the luxury at Lali Lubani Road that they have the depth in quality.
Cameroonian forward Lionel Assu carries the hopes for the Nomads and he is expected to be aided by either Jimmy Zakazaka or Luka Milanzi upfront. In midfield, Jabulani Linje, Cuthbert Sinetre, Rafique Mussa, Isaac ‘Tcheya’ Kaliati and Malumbo Gondwe will keep the engines running while Stanely Sanudi will marshal the defence.
On the other hand, KB will look up to their midfield workhorse Dave Banda, Kelvin Malikebu, Kelvin Hanganda and Harvey Nkacha.
At Kamuzu Stadium, Mafco, still smarting from two consecutive defeats (to Blue Eagles and Wanderers), will be out to beat Bullets and hope that the Nomads falter against KB, in order to regain top slot. Mafco are just a point shy of the leaders, but have played six games.
However, apart from maintaining their unbeaten run, Bullets are also looking forward to going top of the table. They are currently third with 11 points from five games.
Bullets will be without key defenders Yamikani Fodya and Bashir Maunde alongside veteran winger Fischer Kondowe who are also with the Flames. Right.
In other games this afternoon, Civo who are still searching for their first win, host Epac FC at Civo Stadium while Moyale Barracks who are also struggling, engage Airborne Rangers at Mzuzu Stadium.
