Lilongwecouncillor tips private schools on standards

Councillor for Maliya Ward in Lilongwe City, Adams Lipenga, has called on private schools to remain vigilant in their attempts to promote education standards in the country.

Lipenga said this on Saturday at a graduation ceremony at Mama’s Private Schools for nursery learners moving to the primary section.
Said Lipenga: “I urge private school owners to guard against complacency and continue uplifting education standards in the country.”
In her remarks, school director Sinya Simwaka reminded parents and guardians of their role in shaping their children’s future.
She said: “As a school, we believe in concerted efforts to build a child’s character. None of us can do it alone.”
