Speaking during a media briefing in Limbe on Friday, Limbe Police Station assistant spokesperson Widson Nhlane said the station has reclaimed the trophy because of measures they  put in place.

“There were so many things that management put in place for us to achieve this. Among others, we intensified security in our policing area by making sure that officers are on the ground 24 hours a day,” said Nhlane.

Limbe Police Station officer-in-charge John Nyondo said in an earlier interview that the station managed to reduce crimes such as general theft, robberies, house breaking, burglary and theft, theft by trick, assault and grievous harm and defilement.

Limbe Police Station covers two sub-stations of Bangwe and Bvumbwe.
