Liverpool back in title race

Liverpool’s victory over Leicester City mid week has rekindled their title hopes. Victory over Burnley today means they could cut the gap with league leaders Man City to six points.
Burnley, a team at the bottom of the log table, are, however, doing everything to survive the drop. They held Manchester United mid week with amazing football. Liverpool need to approach the match like a final to overcome Burnley, failing which they will regret.
The Man United versus Burnley game has already provided a blueprint through which Liverpool can approach the game to avoid being embarrassed.

The return of their Africa stars Sadio Mane and Mo Salah could add more fire to the Reds.
But one team that needs redemption is Manchester United. The team seems to be psychologically affected as seen in how it is failing to tame teams fighting relegation.

They could not beat bottom club Burnley. And they play against in-form Southampton who beat Tottenham in a frantic five-goal thriller. United need to be at their best in this one.
Meanwhile Chelsea, although they seem out of contention for the Premier League title, have a chance for another trophy at the Club World Cup where they play against Palmieras. They beat Al-Ahlymid week to qualify for the finals. This is one trophy that has eluded Chelsea. Lukaku scored the only goal in the semi-final. They will need him to keep that form.

If they win, Chelsea could bag two trophies by the end of this month because they are also in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on February 27 at Wembley Stadium.
It was good to see Arsenal surviving the Wolves scare but the team should sort out its players’ discipline issues. The red cards are becoming a common feature.
