LL league using old netball guidelines

The Lilongwe and Districts Netball League (LDNL) is running its affairs using old netball rules despite the International Federation of Netball Association’s (Ifna) directive for a switch to the revised regulations from January 1 2012.

Ifna revised the rules that, among others, affect substitutions and coaching from the bench, and instructed all its member-associations to comply.

But LDNL chairperson Fanuel Katengeza on Tuesday insisted that they could not amend the rules without NAM’s directive.

NAM general secretary Hellene Mpinganjira on Tuesday said the revised netball rules will, in Malawi, be enforced when the new netball season
