Malawi boxers travelling to Zimbabwe to take part in the Hard-Core “Gandanga” Challenge Zimbabwe Independence Celebrations boxing feast have warned their opponents to prepare for a battle of a life time.

Boxers from seven African countries, including South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania and hosts Zimbabwe, will take part in the event scheduled for April 23 at City Sports Centre.

Limbani Masamba, who will fight Herbert Nkabiti from Botswana, said he is ready to shake Africa.

“I am going to Zimbabwe to make a name for myself,” said Masamba.

Mussa Ajibu is equally optimistic of victory in Harare.

“I don’t want to disappoint the country and my promoters,” said Ajibu who will face Hastings ‘Sting’ Rasani.

Local female boxers Anisha ‘Massacre’ Bashree, who will fight Zambian Mary Musore, is also talking tough.

Other Malawian boxers on the bill are Chrispin Moliati who will face Trymore Musira from Zimbabwe, Tinkhani Kamanga who will fight Tinashe Mutodo from Zimbabwe, Bright Mdoka against Nicola Mutohora and Charles Misanjo who will face Martin Tshuma.

Delta Force Academy and No Pain No Gain have organsied the bill. n
