As the result of this, the team has suspended the shooting of the series until all members of the cast undergo Covid-19 testing.

However, a post on their Facebook page urged followers not to despair as there is enough footage for the next two months.

Suya said this a big blow to their production schedule.

She said in a normal working week, the team produces two episodes.

Said Suya: “We expect the going to be tough when we resume. Here, we are looking at a number of factors such as availability of actors and locations.

“But that is the nature of the pandemic we are up against and we will have to do what we can to sail through.”

She said upon resumption, they will enforce mandatory use of face masks for the whole team as a preventative measure.

Suya, however, could not reveal the identity of the actor in question saying.

Reacting to the news, one viewer, Mk Khembo, wrote on Facebook: “Noted with gratitude. Hoping this pandemic will go as soon as possible. Wishing those who have tested positive a quick recovery.”

The series airs on TTV, formerly Times Television.
