For the first time since the inception of Lake of Stars (LOS) annual festival, organisers have announced exciting additions to this year’s event scheduled to take place from September 26 to 28.

Artists will undergo workshops aimed at sharing experience and enlightening them.

“Apart from the usual core business of the festival which is music, we will have talks and presentations on a wide range of topics including culture and creativity. We want artists to share experiences with their facilitators from Europe and Africa as well as build themselves for the future,” explained LOS founder and director Will Jameson.

With three stages where deejays will be providing entertainment, LOS will take place at a venue to be announced.

“We are currently talking with different venues for possible hosting of the event. The venue should be known in the next few weeks. But while we are working on that, we can confirm that Peter Mawanga and Skeffa Chimoto are local confirmed headliners.

“We will be announcing new headliners as we go along. In the same vein, we are currently in talks with two Scottish bands to be our international headliners. We will also announce African headliners who will either come from Nigeria or South Africa and will join Zambian artists,” he said.
