Love your wife despite her faults – 2

It demands a lot of self-discipline in order to achieve the desired character of your wife.

The Lord will never turn a sinner away. John 6: 37 states: All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me, I will never drive away.

Husbands, after discovering the weaknesses and failures of your wives, you are not expected to drive them away by seeking a divorce or separation; instead embrace your God given wives who have become one flesh with you in Christ Jesus.

There is after all no perfect woman/human being, as the common adage goes: better the devil you know than the one you do not know. This is not to say that misbehaving wives are devils!

All women have different weaknesses and failures. Their short comings cannot be categorised into groups.

Women are different according to their backgrounds, cultures, upbringing, education, religion, social interaction etc. The foregoing and many other factors make a person to be what they are, but there is one thing I have learnt in life, and that is to make up my mind to be on the helping side of the other who is weak, with an aim of achieving better results and a better person.

It takes a lot to achieve this; however we have the courage that with God all things are possible.

Stay blessed.
