After the euphoria of  Lucius Banda’s last political hit Yellow, fans could not wait for his new political anthem too much that a raw copy was leaked and remixed.

But the musician says he has now completed work on the song, Dzuka Malawi, which he released on Sunday.

The song is a political theme song for United Democratic Front (UDF) campaign and touts the party’s torch-bearer Atupele Muluzi.

Lucius admitted piracy of the song.

“People should know that Dzuka Malawi was officially released on Sunday and the title is the key word in the song. It is totally different in that it has in-depth messages that try to guide Malawians when making decisions ahead of the May 20 polls,” said Lucius yesterday.

Meanwhile, the artist, who is contesting the Balaka North parliamentary seat on the UDF ticket, has said the launch of the campaign will not completely take him off the stage.

He said he will be having some breaks to ensure that he does not deny his fans live performances.

This begins tomorrow evening in Salima courtesy of Sunbird Tourism Limited which has organised two shows tomorrow at the Sunbird Ku Chawe in Zomba and Livingstonia Beach in Salima.

While Ku Chawe will be hosting the usual Sunbird dinner and dance graced by their best DJs who will be on the turn-tables, playing only Malawian music to suit the Malawian cuisine dishes, on serve in the hotel’s Mulunguzi restaurant, fireworks will be in at Livingstonia Beach.

Lucius and Zembani Band will be live, and to watch out, will be the Zembani dancing team which refuses to fade as it continues to bring new stage antics.

The night will not be short of love and heart breaks hits. Lulu will be in the hall dishing out his popular hits such as N’dzalera, Abiti Patuma and Mwachenjera Darling.
