Currently, there are six contestants that are competing for the grand prize of Nissan Tiida donated by Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

These are Kelvin Zalimba, Shanice Tandwe, Eunice Kadzuwa-Mhango, Jeremiah Chikhwaza, SigereAkimu and Kennedy Burton.

E-Wallet chairperson Felix Njawala described the March 5 final eviction as the deciding moment for the contestants.

“This is the final eviction show from which we are expecting only the best three singers to proceed to the finals of the competition,” said Njawala.

However, Njawala bemoaned poor corporate support towards the local music competition, which seeks to unearth talent.

“E-Wallet is our own brand which is proudly owned by a Malawian. Therefore, we are calling upon the corporate world to support the initiative,” he said.

He said that the final eviction show will take patrons through on a ride of Malawian jams that depict the country’s cultural values; hence, the choice of Lucius Banda as the headline act.

The last eviction show was held in December at Blantyre’s M-Theater where Rita and Khumbo were shown the exit door.

On a high note, the show registered tremendous improvement on the part of most contestants such as Shanice who dished out Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You.

Eunice, who performed Queen’s I Want To Break Free, also impressed a panel of judges with a faultless performance.

Meanwhile, music judge Marvin Hanke has tipped the contestants to maintain the pace of performance to increase their chance on the final eviction show.

Said Hanke: “If the contestants will deliver their performances the way we did the last eviction show or surpass that, there will be stiff competition.”
